Quail's Inn Kelowna Vacation Rental

Meet Lynne and Tim; the hosts of Quail's Inn vacation rental - a beautiful 4 bedroom family home on an acreage in Kelowna, British Columbia. (They also happen to be VR Supplies founders and very first customers!)

How long have you been a vacation rental host?

We're been hosting guests for six years.

What is your property like?

Quail's Inn is a 3000 sq ft rancher. Being on one level allows us to accommodate all ages; including babies, toddlers and seniors who require mobility assistance. The pool and tennis court on our property are big hits. There are lots of park trails nearby for biking, walking and long hikes. Though we may seem remote, we are actually walking distance to large shopping areas and the local farmers market!

Do you live on site?

We do live on site and our guests appreciate our ongoing care of the property.

What is your favorite thing about being vacation rental hosts?

Meeting new and interesting people from all walks of life, from almost anywhere in the world. It's always a pleasure sharing stories and providing those guests a ‘local experience’.

What is your greatest challenge as VR hosts?

Preparing the property for new guests on a same day turn over. Having a great team who knows the property is essential.

If you could share one lesson that you've learned with other hosts, what would it be?

Pay careful attention to all the amenities and comforts your property provides, to ensure it’s the same and better for each guest. Always listen to your guests and apply suggested improvements or changes to the facilities and amenities.

Do you have any interesting stories that stand out from your time as VR hosts?

Too many to mention, although some that stand out are things such as guest's young children learning to take their first steps or ride a bike at our property. We host many reunions and it's wonderful to see family, from abroad, reunited and diverse cultures sharing and experiencing the pleasures of the Okanagan.
